Facts About The Act - Seeking Jane | |||||||||||||||||

Seeking Jane is an American act whose music is inspired by frontman Asia d'Lane's
experiences while living in the Philippines. Seeking Jane's Pop, Rock , and Pinoy Funk stylings are hard hitting, smooth, and by design, for every music lover
in the Philippines. Seeking Jane's songs are performed in both Taglish and English
increasing their market potential even more. "I love the the vibe in the Philippines. It inspires so many different musical emotions in me, it's just the best." Says frontman Asia d'Lane.
The Story... In the mid 1990s, Asia d'Lane was touring S.E. Asia as a keyboard player for the US based Pop act Champaign (Top Ten Hits- "How 'bout Us", "Try Again", & "Off And On Love") when he made the decision to make is new home Hong Kong. During the time that Asia lived in Hong Kong, he became very fascinated and inspired by the talent and magic that the Filipino performers who filled the HK clubs posessed. Asia wanted to get closer to their unique experiences and learn what they had to offer. He then began to spend most of his time among the Filipino population in Hong Kong, and was commited to helping them wherever he could to increase public appreciation for their talent. It was during this time that Asia was introduced to a beautiful Filipina named Jane. They both fell madly in love with each other. Unfortunately, during one of her trips back to the Philippines, something went wrong and they lost touch. Asia had no choice but to go to the Philippines and search for his lost love. He ended up renting a home and living there for 3 years. "The songs just started coming, this was the awakening that I needed. This was the first break I had from working with other people in a long time. When I was 15 years old I started in this business working for Bootsy Collins and then onto to The Deele with Babyface, and just about everyone else in between. This was when I truely felt creative freedom, during the time I was seeking Jane." Says Asia regarding his time in Manila. Asia eventually returned to the United States and went to work for K-Tel Records as a producer and EMI Records as a marketing/promotions consultant for S.E. Asia and Japan. Now he is looking towards the only place that could be the home of Seeking Jane's music- The Philippines. By The Way, Asia is still seeking Jane. | ||||||||||||||||
